Partnering with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund was an amazing opportunity that I will cherish forever. The experience was initiated by Brooke Strayhorn, the Events Content Manager, who discovered my work on TikTok. She extended an invitation to capture professional headshots for students at Winston Salem State University, Elizabeth City State University, and Norfolk State University, as part of their collaboration with Ameriprise Financial. This initiative was designed to empower students by bridging the gap between college life and the professional world, offering invaluable insights on crafting standout résumés, and providing each participant with a professional headshot.

Working alongside Thurgood Marshall and Ameriprise was nothing short of remarkable. The teams were not only welcoming and courteous, but also eager to seize the opportunity to have their headshots taken. The presentation delivered to the students was refreshingly insightful, and it struck me how beneficial such engagement would have been during my own undergraduate days. The students' asked very thoughtful questions and highlighted issues that were unfamiliar to me during my college years.

Many students shared that this was their first experience having professional headshots taken, presenting a challenge I was excited to embrace. The Thurgood Marshall College Fund requested a comprehensive gallery of headshots, along with individual links for each student to access their personal images. I am proud to say that I delivered the completed photos to both Thurgood Marshall and the students in under a week. This collaboration not only allowed me to contribute to an impactful cause but also left me eager for future opportunities to work together.
